Another Dusting of Snow

I didn't know it had snowed until we got up.  On the way to work I had to name a detour to feed my mom's pony, Humphrey, which is always a nice change of pace.

It also presented me with some new views to take pictures of...

Gorgeous sunrise. The dusting of snow really makes it surreal & cold. Is that Humphrey out in the field in the last picture?

Agg79 - No, that is not Humphrey, just a random horse that happened to be there!

Amazing that you are able to ride your bike after a snow and it looks like you were on country roads too on this trip. It is so icy on the streets here I don't take my bike out at all.

CiCi - The main roads were more or less clear by the time I set off - I don't ride when there is ice around either. I might be a bit mad but I am not stupid! :-)

absolutely beautiful! I am SO jealous of any one who gets snow.

Meleah - Shall I send you some snow? :-)

Beautiful sunrise. Snow makes for some great pictures, doesn't it?
I know you ride your bike in all kinds of weather, but curious to know how you get to work if the roads are icy and you can't ride your bike. (Or does that ever happen?)

Very restful photos! I can almost feel the crispness in the air. Those people in their cars probably missed it :)

ShadowRun300 - If the roads are too icy for cycling, the chances are that the buses won't be running either, so I take a Snow Day. I feed the pony, make sure that my mum and dad have enough supplies in, maybe help build a snowman etc.

Abby - They almost certainly do. It is one of the things that I love about cycling.
